1. Introduction: Components of Climate System, Weather and climate, Definitions of different terms related to climate change, Evidence for global climate change. 2. Climate Change Variables: Temperature, Sea level change, Drought, Glacier/snow melt, Green house gases. 3. Causes of Climate Change: Natural and anthropogenic causes, Solar insulation, Carbon cycle, Carbon-dioxide emission, Volcanic activity, Deforestation. 4. Global Climate Change: Changes in green house gases, Changes in temperature and precipitation, Changes in sea level and snow cover, Changes in extreme climate events, Disease outbreaks. 5. Climate Change in Bangladesh: Climate change studies in Bangladesh, Present and future scenario of climate change, Extreme events, Temperature, Rainfall, Sea level rise, Flood. 6. Effects on Ecosystem: Primary production, Secondary production, Species invasions Food web impacts from plankton to fish. 7. Climate Change Impacts on Fisheries: Potential impacts on Small scale and artisanal fisheries, Marine fisheries, Inland fisheries, Spawning and recruitment of Fishes and Shrimps, Fishing ground and fishing operation, Species abundance and distribution, Spatial and temporal variation of fish production. 8. Climate Change impacts on Water Quality: Impacts on water temperature and circulation, Nutrient concentration and loading, Oxygen concentration, Pathogenic microbes. 9.
