Physical Oceanography of the Bay of Bengal: Continental shelf; Ocean dynamics: temperature, salinity, density, tide, wave, current, sediment transport, MLD. 3. Chemical Oceanography of the Bay of Bengal: Water chemistry, sediment chemistry, Nutrients dynamics, Bio-geo chemistry. 4. Biological Oceanography of the Bay of Bengal: Chlorophyll concentration, primary production, plankton, fish, mollusk, tropic relationship. 5. Geological Oceanography of the Bay of Bengal: Bathymetry, slope, plate and active boundaries, major features. 6. Monsoon and climate system in Indian Ocean. 7. Natural calamities in the Bay of Bengal and Indian Ocean. 8. Comparative studies between Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea. 9.
